Applications
Brewery - Keg/cask washing
A common problem that breweries have is that they need to clean the inside of kegs & casks. This has to be done on a regular basis and so needs to be efficient, cost effective and robust. The brewery also stipulated that the nozzle had to have a diameter of less than 25mm.
Taking all the brewery's needs into consideration, we recommended a small robust rotating spray head in an upright position that would allow the kegs to be lowered onto the nozzle.
Running at approx 3-4 bar pressure the nozzles created the correct size droplets to impact on the sides of the keg and provide an effective cleaning solution that the customer was delighted with.
Of course all breweries have different needs and we can supply nozzles depending on what that individual brewery requires.
How did we do it?
SC Rotating Nozzles
SC rotating nozzles have a 360º spray coverage to vessels 2 metres in diameter and will fit through a bung hole of 25mm.
This self cleaning and self rotating CIP nozzle will even operate when submerged under the residue in the bottom of a vessel.
This nozzle contains no ball bearings and minimum moving parts and is therefore subject to less wear and subsequent maintenance.
It can be constructed form SS303 or SS316.
