Brick manufacturing - Mould lubrication
We discovered a problem at this brick manufacturer in that the moulds used to create the bricks were breaking up during the manufacturing process, caused by sand sticking onto the bricks. It obviously became very costly, time consuming and annoying having to repair the moulds on a regular basis.
To solve the problem we provided a very low misting spray onto the mould between each process. This acted as a lubricant between the mould and the bricks allowing them to be easily removed and thus solving the problem.
The air atomising nozzles were equipped with automatic shut-off valves to ensure spraying only occurred after the process, once the bricks had been released from the mould. A clean-out needle was also incorporated to keep the orifice free of dirt and clogging from the lubricant.
All of this resulted in less wastage, a better quality product and therefore more profit.
How did we do it?
XAPR
The XAPR produces a very fine atomisation, making it ideal for coating, misting, humidifying, and spraying viscous liquids.
It is pressure-fed and mixes the air and liquid internally, producing a full cone spray pattern.
Can be constructed of nickel-plated brass, SS303 or SS316.
