Chemical - Filter cleaning
Chemical plants can be highly technical places and so problems and diffic
ulties are bound to arise at some point. One such difficulty came about when a rotary dryer was creating waste product that was gathering in difficult to clean areas.
Whilst most of the product was captured and disposed of, a small proportion escaped into recesses. Over a period of time this would build up and cause problems and with manual cleaning not a viable option, this became increasingly problematic. A manifold of spray nozzles had been installed but these did not cover the full area and to install enough manifolds to get full coverage would have proved difficult and expensive.
This problem was solved by strategically installing two rotating spray heads. The 360º spray action covered all the areas and recesses, ridding the filter of the residue and providing a cost effective solution to a tricky problem.
How did we do it?
Bio 5
Bio 5 is a rotating spray nozzle/head that is driven by the cleaning fluid and is a very effective CIP alternative compared to traditional static spray balls.
The fan like cleaning action provides coverage at low pressure, whilst reducing the usage of cleaning media to a minimum.
It is constructed of SS316.
