Food preparation - Product coating

The most important things about food to the consumer are how it looks and how it tastes and so it's vital that a manufacturer meets these requirements.

However, we came across a problem with one manufacturer in which the spraying of colour and flavouring on meat produce was slow and uneven. We needed to come up with a simple solution that provided an even coating on the produce in a short time.

To do this we used a simple 'no frills' air atomising nozzle. There is little that can go wrong with this nozzle and so we knew it was a safe yet effective option. It was easy to install using a siphon feed and therefore requires no pump.

This gave an even coating at a fraction of the cost of alternative and more expensive options, meeting all of the customer's needs.

 

How did we do it?

GSC Air atomising nozzle

The GSC air atomising nozzle provides very fine atomisation in a full cone spray pattern.

It is operational from 150 mbar air pressure and features extremely low air consumption.

It is siphon/pressure operated and constructed of SS303.
