Applications
Mineral - Dust suppression (coal)
A port contacted ICS with a problem they were encountering during the transfer of coal by conveyor. During the process a black dust was being created over the port area despite the conveyor being covered. This caused disruption to the working practices, as well as being an irritant to operatives. The conveyors also need expensive maintenance.
This problem was easily solved by the installation of full cone spray nozzles over transfer parts of the conveyor. This eliminated the dust problem and made the port a much cleaner, cost effective and nicer place to work.
How did we do it?
TF Spiral Full Cone
The TF spiral full cone nozzle is highly energy efficient with a high discharge velocity.
It is a one-piece construction with no internal parts, and is clog resistant.
It is available with a wide range of flow rates and spray angles.
It is used for cooling, dust control, fire protection, humidification, and fogging & misting.
It can be constructed from brass, SS316, PVC, PTFE, and polypropylene.
