Paper manufacturing - Cleaning in Place

At one paper mill we discovered that the transfer flume was being contaminated with different coloured products. On changeover of the product colour the contamination was causing costly wastage and downtime. We found that access to the transfer flume was restricted and the work was having to be done manually. This was becoming very costly and could take up to 24 hours to clean.

To solve the problem we suggested using 3 rotary jet heads positioned in the roof, giving total coverage along the length of the flume. The high impact and excellent cleaning qualities of the nozzles successfully reduced cleaning times to under an hour and put a stop to unnecessary wastage and downtime.

 

How did we do it?

A 1.5" dual or four nozzle automated tank cleaning machine that has a fixed to moving gear ratio of 47 to 49 allowing it to produce a homogenous 360º pattern that is superior to that of any other rotating jet head in it's class.

It is an integrated turbine class type of tank cleaning machine and employs an adjustable turbine and flow through gearbox. The adjustable turbine allows the rotation speed to be adjusted without the need of changing costly stators and/or gearing found in other similar cleaning devices

Can be constructed from stainless steel and other highly corrosion resistant materials.
